• Consulted on two projects at the University of Cartagena (1) Pilot study of health effects among populations exposed to aerial spraying of glyphosate in areas with illegal cultivation; (2) Human health risk assessment and pilot study of fracking by the National Hydrocarbons Agency (ANH) in the population of the Puerto Wilches municipality
• Provided research seminars to undergraduate and graduate students at the Universidad de Cartagena and the Universidad del Atlantico

Fulbright Scholar - research and teaching award, 2020 - 2021 (US Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs) hosted by the University of Iceland

• Collaborated on research projects at the University of Iceland, Center for Public Health Sciences (1) Association between adverse childhood experiences and multiple sclerosis in women – A population-based cohort study [Stress-And-Gene-Analysis (SAGA) study]; and with the Icelandic Heart Association (2) Serum vitamin D and risk of cognitive impairment and Parkinson’s disease; (3) History of outdoor occupations and risk of Parkinson’s disease [Age, Gene/Environment Susceptibility (AGES)-Reykjavík study]
• Taught courses in epidemiology, public health and environmental health to master’s and doctoral students (link to “live” presentation of project and accompanying slides)

Fulbright Specialist in Epidemiology, 2018 (US Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs) hosted by the National Center of Public Health in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia

• Developed and taught 2-week course on epidemiology modeled after educational material available from the CDC and WHO to 22 bachelor’s- and doctoral-level health practitioners from six provinces in Mongolia
